CHARTER
Lake Braddock Community Association (LBCA) Lake and Pond Committee
Goal: To reduce the flow of sediment into the lake and pond from both shoreline erosion and point sources; maintain water quality and a stable fish population; and create and maintain an attractive and functional landscape around the lake and pond.
Scope of Responsibility: Lake Braddock and Blackburn Pond, the streams feeding into these bodies of water and their shoreline areas within LBCA property lines.
Duties: Routine monitoring of the physical and ecological health of the lake and pond; develop and implement master plans for the maintenance and improvement of the lake and pond; provide the Board of Directors with periodic reports on the state of these waterbodies; develop the necessary documentation to acquire services and material to implement lake and pond maintenance and improvement projects; coordinate with County and State agencies and other communities on matters relating to urban lakes and ponds; prepare lake and pond budget requirements for the annual Operating Fund and CIF Reserve Fund; and plan and organize community volunteer work projects. |
